Commonly known as Starfish, the Sea Star is no fish! Back in the day we called them Starfish, however marine scientists have renamed them — Sea Stars.
This artwork has 3 of many Sea Stars found within Australian waters.
- Tasia australis (biscuit sea star)
- Astropecter vappa (comb sand star)
- Protoreaster nodulosus (knobbly sea star)
They are such a beautiful and detailed sea creature. One that my boys and I love to look for in our local rock pools.
