With a reputation for causing stinging pain, paralysis and even death, jellyfish are considered some of the most dangerous creatures in Australian waters.
There are many different species of jellyfish in Australian waters. However, the Pacific Sea Nettle — Chrysaora fuscescens, or West Coast Sea Nettle, is a common planktonic scyphozoan that lives in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
They have a beautiful round Bell and long dragging tentacle legs. For humans, its sting is often irritating, but rarely dangerous.
